sound as space / sound as language
Last week during the MoKS Kultuurijaam event in Tartu, Patrick McGinley and Maksims Shentelevs gave an excellent sound workshop entitled “sound as space / sound as language”. I won’t give a rundown of all that happened (because I was busy with my own workshop), but I’ll leave you with a mix I made from some of the material that was recorded during the workshop.

There was also a sound workshop given by Lau Nau of Finland. She worked with groups of children to generate original improvised soundtracks to films. This has been an ongoing project for Lau Nau to explore her interest in making live film soundtracks.
